The Acton Memorial Library Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1991 as a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing additional funding to the Acton Memorial Library. The Foundation conducts an Annual Appeal each May, which focuses on building the various collections at the Library and providing funding for new technologies. In addition to financial contributions, AMLF solicits donor comments and suggestions from the public In 1997, the Board of Directors established a general purpose Endowment Fund. This fund will provide the Library with a supplementary yearly income. This income will support and improve the quality of library services and help to meet needs not covered by the Acton town budget. Life-Cycle Giving makes a unique gift to someone you care about on their birthday, anniversary, graduation, or other life-cycle event. All donations will go to the Endowment Fund. A limited number of giclee prints made from paintings by Arthur F. Davis are for sale by the Foundation. Arthur F. Davis served for many years as the librarian at Acton Memorial Library. |
Continuing the Tradition |
| The
Acton Memorial Library is much more than a structure of brick
and mortar. It represents a community that puts the highest value
on education and growth for every citizen. William Wilde conceived
the Acton Memorial Library more than 100 years ago as a memorial
to patriotism and as a tool for providing knowledge to all. In
this spirit, it will continue to stand at the heart of our town,
as a repository of learning and as a center in which our community
may come together. We hope you will join with us in donating
to the Annual Appeal or to the Endowment Fund to ensure the continuation
of this essential and invaluable institution. |
